There’s a picture I keep in my mind of Mia and Nomar curled up next to me, the quiet weight of their bodies bringing a sense of comfort I didn’t even realize I needed. They were with me for 16 and 20 years—my constants, my shadows, my family.
When they got older, I did everything I could to give them the best care possible. I spent hours researching senior cat health, talking to vets, adjusting their diets, and figuring out how to keep them comfortable and happy. Some of what I learned helped extend their lives. Some of it, I wish I had known sooner.
Now, I have Niko and Milo, my two one-year-old cats, and I find myself looking at them differently. I want to do everything I can—starting now—to make sure they live long, healthy, vibrant lives. I don’t want to wait until health problems arise; I want to be proactive. And I know I’m not the only one who feels this way.
That’s why I’m putting together The Feline Wellness Summit—a free online event designed to help cat parents like you and me give our cats the best possible care at every stage of life, taking place February 10th-13th.
Why This Summit Matters
When I was caring for Mia and Nomar in their senior years, I often felt like I was playing catch-up—trying to solve problems instead of preventing them.
With Mia, I learned how critical kidney health is for senior cats, but I didn’t realize the signs of kidney disease soon enough. She also struggled with mobility issues, dental pain, and later, lymphoma. Each diagnosis meant adjusting her care, learning as much as I could, and doing my best to make her comfortable.
With Nomar, I saw firsthand how important early intervention is. He passed away with no diagnosed illness. To this day, I don’t know what he passed away from. However, now that I’ve learned more about feline wellness, there were subtle signs that he may have had some underlying health challenges - things that I didn’t know about. I can’t help but wonder—what if I had known more about feline wellness earlier? What if I had access to a community of experts to help guide me?
Now, with Niko and Milo, I have the chance to do things differently. And so do you.
This summit is about giving our cats the best chance at a long, happy, healthy life—not waiting until there’s a problem, but learning what we can now so we can be the best cat parents possible.
What This Summit Is About
For four days from February 10-13th, I’ll be talking with 20+ feline health experts—veterinarians, nutritionists, behaviorists, holistic specialists, and more—about what we can do to help our cats thrive. Each day will be packed with insightful, actionable advice that you can actually use.
Here’s a sneak peek at what we’ll be covering:
✅ Nutrition & Supplements – What actually helps, and what’s just hype? Are there small changes you can make now that will have a big impact on your cat’s health?
✅ Senior Cat Wellness – What do we need to know about kidney disease, arthritis, cognitive decline, and other aging-related issues? How can we support our senior cats and make their golden years comfortable and full of love?
✅ Behavior & Emotional Health – Cats are complex creatures. How can we better understand their body language, anxiety triggers, and emotional needs?
✅ Preventive Care – The small things we do today can prevent big problems down the road. What should we be focusing on before health issues start?
✅ Holistic & Alternative Therapies – Are there natural solutions for pain management, stress relief, and overall wellness? What role do essential oils, acupuncture, and herbal medicine play in feline health?
Each expert I’ve invited has dedicated their career to feline wellness, and I can’t wait for you to hear from them.
